എങ്ങനെ verb ൻറെ " form" ഉണ്ടാകാം.?

  1) Base / Root Form

Verb ൻറെ ആദ്യത്തെ form ആണിത്. ഇതിനെ root form അല്ലെങ്കിൽ base form എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇതിനെ Root Form അല്ലെങ്കിൽ "V1"എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

Eg:- drink, play, exam, eat, etc......

Drop               ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുക 

Read               വായിക്കുക 

Close              അടക്കുക

Move              നീക്കുക

Bend              വളക്കുക

Run                ഒടുക

Fly                 പറക്കുക

  2) Past Tense Form

Verb ൻറെ past form അതായത് verb എങ്ങനെ past tense ൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് past tense  form അല്ലെങ്കിൽ " V2"എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

Regular verbs 
Irregular verbs 

1) Regular Verbs
ഭൂരിഭാഗം  verb കളും Regular verb കൾ ആണ്. Base form ന്റെ അവസാനത്തിൽ  " ed " or "d " suffix word ഉണ്ടാകും. 

Eg:-

Base form      Regular form /past form

Arrive                 arrived 

2)Irregular verbs 

ചില verb കൾക്ക്  ed or d  എന്നിവകൾ ഉണ്ടാകില്ല അവയെ Irregular verbs പറയുന്നു. 

ചില Irregular verbs --- base form and past form ഒരുപോലെ വാക്കുകൾ ആയിരിക്കും   പക്ഷെ അർത്ഥം മാറ്റം ഉണ്ടാകും.

ചില Irregular verbs --- base form and past form ൽ വ്യത്യാസമുള്ളതായി കാണാം

  3) Past Participle Form

Past Participle form അല്ലെങ്കിൽ " V3"എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

Participle  എന്നാൽ ഒരു വാക്യത്തിൽ ഒരു noun, noun phrase*, verb, verb phrase* എന്നിവ പരിഷ്കാരികുന്നതിന്  ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഒരു verb ന്റെ രൂപമാണിത്.

* Noun Phrase എന്നാൽ article a, an, the എന്നിവ വെച്ച് ഒരു noun നെ modify ചെയ്താൽ കിട്ടുന്നതാണ് eg: the book)

*Verb Phrase എന്നാൽ helping verb + main verb കൂടി ചേർന്നതാണ്.

 ഇത് രണ്ട് type ഉണ്ട്. 

1)Present participle form

Verb ന്റെ  അവസാനത്തിൽ ing ചേർക്കുന്നതാണ്. ഇത് continuous tense കളിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. 

Eg:-  i am thinking 

2)Past participle form

Verb ന്റെ  അവസാനത്തിൽ ed, d, t, en, orn      എന്നീ suffix word  ചേർക്കുന്നതാണ്. 

Eg:-have you looked.

  4) Present Participle Form

 "ing form " അല്ലെങ്കിൽ present participle form

ഒരു base form  verb ന്റെ അവസാനത്തിൽ " ing" suffix word ചേർത്താൽ verb ന്റെ ing form കിട്ടും. 

Eg:-

Walk + ing = walking 

Run + ing = running 

Verb ന്റെ കൂടെ ing ചേർക്കാൻ ചില Rules ഉണ്ട്. 

A) verb ന്റെ അവസാനത്തിൽ "e" എന്ന letter ഉണ്ടകിൽ അത് ഒഴിവാക്കി ing ചേർക്കുക.
 Eg:-
smile +    ing =    smiling

Have +    ing   =  having 

Live  +    ing  =  living 

Move +   ing =   moving 

B)ചില verb കൾ അവസാനത്തിൽ consonant sound ഉണ്ടാകും അവ double ആക്കി +ing ചേർക്കുക. ഇത് one syllable verb കളിൽ മാത്രം.( one syllable എന്നാൽ ചെറിയ syllable -ഒരു consonant+ ഒരു vowel +ഒരു consonant = CVC )

Eg:- 

sit    +   ing  =  sitting 

get   +  ing  =  getting 

run   +  ing  =  running 

C) ചില verb കൾ അവസാനത്തിൽ "  ie " എന്നത് മാറ്റി " y " എന്ന letter ചേർത്ത് ing ചേർക്കുക. 

Eg:-
die   +   ing =   dying 

Tie   +    ing =  tying 

Lie   +    ing =  lying 

D) ബാക്കി വരുന്ന verb ന്റെ അവസാനത്തിൽ +ing ചേർക്കുക. 

Eg:-
walk    +   ing    =   walking 

Sing    +   ing    =   singing 

Jump   +   ing   =   jumping 

Look   +   ing   =   looking 

Do      +   ing   =   doing 

Fly     +   ing   =   flying 

5)  ' To ' From

" To  form "അല്ലെങ്കിൽ  "infinitive form"

Verb ന്റെ base form ന് മുമ്പിൽ "To" എന്ന prifix ചേർക്കുക. Do ആണെങ്കിൽ  "To do" ഇതിന് ചെയ്യാൻ, ചെയുന്നതിന് അർത്ഥം വരും. 

Eg:-

Come       to come    

Eat           to eat 

Lean       to learn 

(Eg:Come to eat, go to study, come to play )

6)    'S ' From

Present ആക്ഷൻ നടക്കുപ്പോൾ third person singular (he, she, it) Verb ന്റെ 

" S-form "ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.

Base form ന്റെ കൂടെ s/es ചേർക്കുക 

(Rule verb ന്റെ അവസാനത്തിൽ"s", "ch", "sh", "x", "z"  letter ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ "es" suffix word ചേർക്കുക, subject plural ആണെങ്കിൽ verb ന്റെ അവസാനത്തിൽ "s" suffix word ചേർക്കുക)

Eg:-

Go             goes

Help         helps 

Cut            cuts 

Run           runs 

Wash         washes 

Carry        carries 

Clutch      clutches
